Jordan R. Pavlus Obtains Judgment After Bench Trial On Behalf Of Subcontractor
Jordan R. Pavlus recently obtained a judgment on behalf of a subcontractor after a multiple day bench trial. The trial addressed work performed on a new construction project. The general contractor alleged that the work was defective and that the subcontractor had breached a second unrelated contract for a second phase of the project. The judgment awarded the full amount sought by the subcontractor, including 12% interest from the date payment became due, pursuant to General Business Law section 756-b. The judgment also dismissed the counterclaims in their entirety and awarded costs and disbursements to the subcontractor.
